The start is the same as usual, and the first turnpoint is at the end on the Montsec ridge on the left side of the take-off. the pilots must leave the big ridge to go to the second turnpoint on another smaller ridge behind Montsec. Thermals are more sparse and a few pilots are already landing there. The others are reaching goal with a 15km long final glide. Hans "the legend" Bollinger is making goal low but first. It reminds the time when he was winning all tasks.

Jean-Marc "Poulidor" Caron, arriving less than 3 minutes later is getting enough points to reach the second step on the competition podium.
