4th task in Argentina : The Valic brothers and Mac Para clean up !

With better conditions expected, the task is a race to goal with a start 40 mn after the window opening, at 13:20. All pilots take off within 20 mn but the first climb is very slow. Going to the first turnpoint, only 4 km from take off is almost putting everybody on the ground.
Denis Cortella and some other pilots are find a good lift allowing everybody to climb again. All the task will be with weak
thermals. After the first turnpoint, two options are possible, back to the hills or in the flats. The hills are working a little better but all pilots meet again at the third turnpoint near the headquarters. With a good thermals at the turnpoint (1300 m)
everybody is starting to fly the valley to the south. Different routes lead all to the "danger" turnpoint, quite infamous for the
local old lady called "la vieja loca" who is welcoming the pilots sometimes with a gun ! Some landing pilots had trouble with her in the previous tasks.
A gaggle is forming with 30 pilots going up to 1000m. Further, a "not so good smell" thermal is coming from a paper factory. Some pilots, not higher than 200m, must turn quite a long time in this stinky air ! All along the way, pilots are landing. 12 of them are able to turn the last turnpoint with 48 km not higher than 700m. In the final
glide, using the wind and some bubbles, the Valic brothers are going a little further and win the task with 55.3 km (Urban) and 54.5 km (Aljaz). Keiko Hiraki and Caroline Brille are winning the task with an excellent 40.2 km.
